The Paraguayan Adventure: Part IV

Johanna and Asael got married while we were in Paraguay! I was muy honrado to help Charlene Stoltzfoos with their wedding photography. It was the first wedding both of us had ever photographed! Needless to say, we were both glad that Johanna and Asael weren’t very particular about their photos πŸ™‚ It was so much fun though, to say the least. We had a blast that day, but we were both very tired by the end. Charlene had additional responsibilities in the wedding besides photography, so I handled most of the detail shots, while she took charge of the formals. His family couldn’t understand English, so I just stepped back and let her work magic πŸ™‚ Oh, it was all so much fun…

And here are the photos! It all began on a beautiful morning…

They were an ecstatic, radiant couple about to be married:

The beautiful bridal party:

Anson suggested I get a photo of the groomsmens’ dusty shoes. When I saw them, I couldn’t help but oblige πŸ™‚

On the way to the wedding, Johanna was all giggles and smiles:

Her lovely family:

and his large and equally photogenic family:

The singing party was made up of clinic staff, including Charlene.

This is their beaming “We just got married!!” look πŸ™‚

The cake servers with the lovely cake:

The drink servers who never got to do anything with the drinks πŸ™‚

And the getaway car, appropriately dressed up for the occasion πŸ™‚

And that’s it! Of course, Charlene has many more photos in her collection than just these, thank goodness. Thank you so much, Asael y Johanna, for being so kind and gracious and allowing me this opportunity! It was an amazing dream come true to photograph a wedding, and I was so honored to work with ya’ll. May God bless you richly as you bless others in your life together!
